Micromax introduces cheap tablet withAndroid Ice Cream Sandwich OS

Micromax today introduced a cheap but powerful tablet with Android 'Ice Cream Sandwich' Operating System. With this, the tablet market is getting heated up in India with manufactures vying with price reduction. Hope this will ultimately become beneficial to the end user. 


The tablet is named as "Funbook" and priced at Rs 6,499. Really affordable. Among other attractions of the tablet are its impressive incorporation of e-learning materials with it. It comes preloaded with educational content from  Pearson, Everon, GK Publishers, Scholarshub, Vidyalankar, Universal Tutorials, CAPS and Zion. But it is also rumoured that one needs to buy  a memory card for 799 to get these additional features.
